On July 28th, Pierre Frey co-hosted an event called “Right Now in Design” with Nicole Gibbons of So Haute and Joshua Greene of Shagreene. Top design talents Nate Berkus, Laura Kirar, Steven Gambrel, and Jesse Carrier formed a panel discussion, while nearly 100 style makers and influencers, including Brad Ford, Marisa Marcantonio, Harry Heissman, and Tori Mellot, attended the event.
The designers unanimously agreed that they do not believe in specific color trends; rather, they all strive for a timeless quality and consider their most successful projects those that still look great 10 years later. And as for social media, they recognize its importance while admitting that they don’t have the time or staff to participate as they should. Although they all read blogs, they prefer good old fashioned print publications.
