In July, the Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, will open its 17-room property expansion. Located a few doors down from the main inn, the Maple Glen guest house occupies a Greek revival residence that has undergone a restoration of period details and an expansion of nearly 3,600 square feet.
The interiors represent a departure from Red Lion’s typical palette of floral wallpaper and antique teapots, with Maple Glen accommodations outfitted in a vibrant color palette, padded fabric headboards, antique bureaus, vintage TV lamps, eclectic mix of art, and hardwood floors. “It’s where Colonial charm meets an eclectic-vintage-bohemian aesthetic,” says Nancy Fitzpatrick, the inn’s owner.
