Set to open in 2015, the 361-room Rosewood Chongqing will mark the brand’s fifth hotel in Asia.
Located in a mixed-use development of residences, retail, and office space in Yubei District, the 331 guestrooms and 30 suites, designed by Long Beach, California-based Remedios Studio, will reflect the city’s culture, history, and geography.

Crafted by Tokyo-based Spin Design Studio, the three restaurants and bars will include an all-day bistro, a two-floor Chinese restaurant, and a Japanese restaurant and rooftop bar on the hotel’s top three floors. The bistro⎯⎯with an expansive, outdoor terrace⎯⎯will feature live cooking stations, while the Chinese restaurant will offer 19 private luxury dining rooms. The hotel’s rooftop bar will boast cabanas, a VIP terrace lounge, outdoor fireplaces, and a two-floor waterfall⎯⎯all appearing to float on water.
A 17,222-square-foot pillar-free ballroom, a 5,673-square-foot junior ballroom, two meeting rooms, a VIP room, and bridal room make up the meeting facilities. The Pavilion⎯⎯Rosewood’s signature meeting space⎯⎯will also feature a show kitchen, four function and meeting rooms with retractable walls, two separate function rooms, a breakout lounge.
