The 300-room Renaissance Arlington Capital View, designed to be LEED Silver certified, has opened its doors. A theme of motion permeates the hotel, from the custom light fixtures and wall treatments that mimic the motion of water droplets to “Dance of the Forest,” a kinetic wood sculpture by Charlie Whinney. Outfitted in a blue and platinum scheme, guestrooms feature ergonomic executive chairs, spacious desk space, a proprietary plug-in technology panel, and spa-like bathrooms.
Dining options include Italian restaurant SOCCi, featuring an open kitchen design, expanded pet-friendly outdoor seating area, and a chef’s tasting room, as well as the full-service Espressamente illy café with an outdoor patio. Glass-encased meeting spaces and a 10,000-square-foot ballroom are highlights of the hotel’s event space. Other defining features include a green roof, Sky Lounge, and open-air terraces.
