Marriott International is entering Ukraine with the 173-room Renaissance Kiev Hotel. The former Leipzig Hotel is undergoing an expansion and renovation, slated for completion in mid-2013. Marriott will add a new extension to the historic façade while retaining and restoring the property’s elaborate architecture. Plans call for specialty and casual restaurants, a lobby bar, and fitness center with spa.
