In keeping with its location directly across from SeaWorld, the Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld played up the aquatic theme throughout its $35 million renovation. Guests can opt for one of six distinct designs in the 65 remodeled suites, all with modern sensibilities and amenities. The Presidential Suite is equipped with wet bar, garden tub, and large balcony, while oversized King Suites showcase large windows, a sectional sofa, and California closet. In addition, the Atlantis Kitchen offers guests a hands-on, open dining experience, and is also available for cooking classes and demonstrations.
The resort also transformed of its second-floor meeting space to include 23 breakout rooms of various sizes, ranging from two Executive Boardrooms with plush seating for 12 people to a 2,000-square-foot Orlando meeting room with an air wall for added flexibility. Each breakout room is named after a sea creature, such as Anemone, Mako and Tarpon. Furthermore, an 8,000-square-foot function lawn, located adjacent to the pool, has been added to the resort’s existing function lawn and terrace.
The R Aqua Zone, an expansion of the hotel’s existing pool area, is an interactive family-friendly water playground created by Winter Park Construction. Two water slides, periscope guns, shooting water jets, and a water windmill round out the teen and tween play area, while a tot pool, small slide, and rain tree offer something for the little ones.
