The 5-Star Renaissance Sao Paulo Hotel has wrapped up its renovation of public areas and incorporation of new international brand concepts. The hotel’s lobby and reception areas have integrated both social and working spaces. “Traditionally, hotel lobbies have been designed only to welcome guests on arrival,” explains Ana Luiza Masagao Menezes, the hotel’s sales and marketing director. “Marriott believes that a lobby designed simply for guests to pass through en route to their rooms is no longer sufficient. A multifunctional environment is needed.”
For instance, the refurbished lounge area merges social activities into one space while a media wall connects guests to the outside world. In another space, guests can read, work in private, or rest in reclining armchairs. Another spot features easy check-in and check-out, along with business center services.
In addition, the hotel has added international Renaissance brand initiatives set forth by Marriott, including a new striking and simple visual identity with a new logo; a modern, attractive, and inspirational design; new retail and F&B strategies (utilizing local ingredients for a more authentic experience); and new partnerships with companies such as Hertz, Absolut Vodka, Jack Spade, and Strida.
