The Renaissance Vinoy Resort & Golf Club in St. Petersburg, Florida, has unveiled redesigned guestrooms courtesy of Leo A Daly. Inspired by the resort’s rich history and waterfront location, the design firm incorporated a variety of colors, fabrics, and unexpected accents.
A pearl-colored, woven leather headboard produces a striking focal point against the sea mist-painted wall while bringing out the pops of dark coral on the upholstery. A pattern reminiscent of the hourglass shapes found throughout the hotel can be seen when the floor lamp is illuminated. New seating options including a versatile, smaller-scale ottoman and a coral lounge chair. In the suites, the sofas’ new fabric provides references to the beach with accents of blue and sea green. All bathrooms were upgraded with new wallcoverings, sconces, and mirror frames. Additional amenities include pillow-top mattresses, Frette linens, and flatscreen TVs.
This summer, the resort will upgrade its lobby by repositioning the front desk area to create a lounge-like feel with more seating and adding a library, café, and sundries shop. An indoor/outdoor bar will also be added to the expanded veranda.
