Revel, a $2.4 billion gaming resort in Atlantic City, has unveiled key design details, according to the Press of Atlantic City. Designed by Miami architecture firm Arquitectonica, the glass-encased tower with an angled roof reflects the undulation of the Atlantic Ocean. An expansive rooftop outdoor deck overlooking the ocean will comprise 30,000 trees and plants, as well as cabanas and firepits. Meanwhile, a three-story nightclub overlooks the lobby, situated on the same level as the outdoor deck situated six stories above the water. Plans also call for a spa (where an indoor-outdoor pool accented by a waterfall will connect with it), multiple pools, a manmade beach, 12 restaurants, and retail facilities. In addition, functions space will encompass a theater, an expansive ballroom, and an arena.
“We are not promoting this as a casino,” Revel spokeswoman Lisa Johnson told the newspaper. “It’s a lifestyle resort with a casino.”
