The Rezidor Hotel Group has announced plans for two hotels in South Africa. Located along the Crocodile River, Radisson Blu Safari Resort Kruger Park will have 104 guestrooms and 16 suites with private terraces, an all-day-dining restaurant, “Boma” (an outdoor dining and entertainment area), cigar and pool bars, two pools, spa and wellness center, decks to view game, fitness facility, kids’ club, environmental awareness center, and five conference rooms. The hotel is scheduled to debut in Q2 2013.
The 120-key Park Inn Cape Town Foreshore, occupying a converted office building, offers a mid-market option with amenities such as the signature RBG Restaurant & Bar; gym; business center; two rooftop conference rooms; four small breakaway rooms; and a rooftop terrace, bar, and swimming pool. A late 2011 opening is planned.
