As it approaches its 15th anniversary, Maya restaurant in New York will undergo a redesign and open the Tequileria Maya bar and lounge next door in late May. Chef and owner Richard Sandoval’s revamped venue will feature a chic, earthy aesthetic infused with the warm, inviting, and celebratory Latin hospitality. Meanwhile, the adjacent tequila bar-modeled after Mexican tequilerias-will offer a collection of more than 100 agave-based spirits.
