The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island has wrapped up the redesign of its 446 guestrooms and suites, marking the final phase of the resort’s five-year makeover that introduced a new spa, meeting space, restaurants, and beachfront activities. Design firm Wilson & Associates took its cues from the beaches, tides, and dunes of the property’s location on the northeast Florida coast to create a sense of coastal living in the guestrooms.

At the door, dark mahogany flooring evokes the colors of wet sand and reeds, while the carpet, with soft textured swirls inspired by wind-swept shore lines, continues the seaside theme. Floor-to-ceiling glass balcony doors reveal coastline views and allow private access to the outdoors. A soothing sand and blue palette reflects sand and sea, complemented by splashes of green, gold, and lavender.
