The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company will open its location in Rancho Mirage, California on May 15th.
Surrounded by the Santa Rosa Mountain range on a 650-foot bluff, the Palm Springs hotel will feature 244 resort rooms and suites, residences, a two-story luxury spa, and more than 30,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space.
“A seamless luxury experience in this iconic area of California has not only been greatly anticipated by The Ritz-Carlton, but even more so by brand loyalists around the world,” says Chris Gabaldon, Ritz-Carlton’s chief sales and marketing officer. “This storied property will deliver a highly sensory respite that is culturally and generationally relevant.”
The architecture draws from the regional surroundings and honors the area’s cultural history. Designed to complement its desert setting, the interiors include natural elements of stone, wood, and fire to reflect the local landscape, colors, and culture.
The resort particularly embraces indoor and outdoor living and emphasizes muted natural hues and tactile materials. A stylized interpretation of the desert environment will create a transition between the luxury hotel and its surroundings. Dining venues will include an exhibition kitchen at State Fare Bar + Kitchen and a restaurant specializing in steak, seafood and fine wine, The Edge.
