The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company will add 36 hotels by 2016, bringing its worldwide portfolio to 100 properties. In Q1 2011 alone, the luxury brand opened hotels in Hong Kong, Toronto, and Dubai, with plans to unveil projects in Riyadh and Abu Dhabi later this year. In addition, the Ritz-Carlton Residences in Toronto and Singapore are scheduled to debut.
Openings next year include Chengdu, China; Herzliya, Israel; Rancho Mirage, California; and an expansion of The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai. Two more Ritz-Carlton residential projects are scheduled be added in Chicago and Montreal, while the third Bulgari-branded hotel comes to London.
By 2013, Ritz-Carlton plans to be on the map at destinations including Aruba; Dorado Beach, Puerto Rico; Quy Nhon, Vietnam; Panama City, Panama City, Panama; and Cairo. Meanwhile, residences are slated to open at North Hills, Nassau County, Long Island, New York, as well as and Dorado Beach.
In 2014, the brand returns to Bali with a resort at Sawangan. The Residences are slated to open in Bangkok and Similan Beach in Thailand, while four Reserve will welcome guests in Muscat, Oman; Similan Beach; San Jose del Cabo, Mexico; and Tamuda Bay, Morocco. A third Japanese property is scheduled to open in the resort town of Kyoto, and another hotel is slated for Rabat, Morocco.
The next year, 2015, includes plans for a second location in Cairo at Palm Hills, and residences in Kuala Lumpur are also under development. This will be followed in 2016 with the anticipated opening of The Ritz-Carlton, Qingdao Green Town, China.
