The Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, Pudong opens today (June 21st) as the company’s second hotel in the city. Architect Cesar Pelli and interior designer Richard Farnell have reinterpreted Shangai’s Art Deco movement from the 1930s for the 285-room property, whose façade glitters like diamonds.
Luxury restaurants and the accompanying bar offer unrivalled views over the Bund and the Shanghai skyline. Restaurants include Aura Lounge and Jazz Bar; Jin Xuan, the fine dining Chinese Restaurant designed by Steve Leung; and Scena Italian Restaurant and Flair Rooftop Restaurant and Bar, both designed by Super Potato. The hotel is also home to three floors of club accommodations, along with a club lounge; and a spa.
