Gensler has appointed Robert Fischel as hospitality practice area leader for the Southeast region. Fischel will be based in the firm’s Atlanta office.
“Robert is a well respected architect who brings with him an established national reputation within the hospitality industry, in Atlanta and beyond,” says Colin O’Brien, principal and co-managing director of Gensler’s Atlanta office. “We are thrilled to welcome Robert to Gensler and look forward to his leadership and contributions to the hospitality practice area and the entire firm.”
Prior to joining Gensler, Fischel was associate director of the hospitality studio at Cooper Carry, where he was responsible for the design and documentation management of architectural and consultant teams and the construction administration of projects. His previous experience includes the Charleston Midtown Hyatt in Charleston, South Carolina; the Marriott Marquis Washington, DC; The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island in Kiawah Island, South Carolina; and the Hyatt Regency Conference Center in Atlanta.
