The Royal Hawaiian, a Luxury Collection Resort, has wrapped up its $70 million renovation. The Royal Beach Tower’s transformation resulted in new guestrooms that celebrate the hotel’s new beach-inspired theme. The light-colored furnishings are reminiscent of driftwood and help tell the story of Helumoa, the area in which the historic property stands. The rooms are full of custom details: lounge chairs and ottomans designed and made by furniture manufacturer McGuire; Asian-inspired nightstands by Cheng Meng; Indonesian tables carved from local tree trunks; lanai furnishings from Italian furniture maker Roberti; and lamps influenced by beach class. Artwork from Hawaiians Solomon Enos and Carl Pao adds a local vibe to the guestrooms, while speckled mosaic glass vanity walls and mirrors define the bathrooms.
