Samuelson Furniture delivered three containers of furniture to the residents of Breezy Point, New York⎯⎯a region affected by Hurricane Sand⎯⎯with the help of Habitat for Humanity of Westchester, New York.
Already active in rebuilding the area, Bank of America financed the shipping of the donated product from overseas. The Samuelson crew joined forces with their employees to organize and deliver the furnishings directly to homes in the area⎯⎯distributing cabinets, chairs, and tables with the help of 150 volunteers.
“Residents of this seaside community continue to work to rebuild their homes and their lives,” says Lawrence Chalfin, president of Samuelson Furniture. “The wave of destruction on this small community is staggering and we felt the need to give back to them in a way that we could.”
