Hotel Diva in San Francisco is in the midst of a $2 million renovation to its 116 guestrooms, common areas, and exterior. The clean, modern design, helmed by Edmonds + Lee Architects, takes cues from a theatrical, fashionable night out.
Dressed in three shades of gray with deep plum accents, accommodations boast black and white furnishings, abstract geometrical carpeting, and artistic lighting. The hotel’s signature rolled steel headboards will be accented with luxurious crisp white bedding, an embroidered “Diva” euro pillow sham, and a luxury throw. Classic Harry Bertoia chairs will be covered in custom-designed fabric, while custom window shades are adorned with two images: one of a woman’s curvaceous form in a lacy corset and thigh-high fishnet stockings and another of shapely legs in heels. Newly designed bathrooms will feature a white Lucite wall pattern created exclusively for Hotel Diva by Ambath and floor tile resembling Brazilian hardwood.
The exterior of the hotel has been freshly painted in charcoal gray with bright white windows, resembling the look of a dashing tuxedo. The Perrier Lounge is designed around the mineral water’s iconic green bottle, with details such as custom glass bottle light fixtures, intimate seating and meeting space, and a Perrier vending machine. In addition, the lobby will be redesigned as an open, airy lounge with a sexy new look.
