The opening for Sandals‘ LaSource Grenada Resort & Spa has been slated for this November. As Sandals’ first property in Grenada, the resort and spa will feature 200 guestrooms, concierge-and butler-level suites, as well as bungalows and private cottages.
Close to Grenada’s local beaches, waterfalls, and rainforests, the new Sandals destination will also include new dining and leisure enhancements. Included in the restorations will be an expansive infinity pool and swim-up bar, a full-service spa, and several entertainment lounges, including a library and a piano bar.
Restaurants will include the oceanfront Neptunes and Café de Paris, serving gourmet pastries and coffee. Authentic Caribbean and Creole cuisine, served at Spices, Sandals’ signature restaurant, will be featured alongside popular restaurants with Italian, French, and Japanese influences.
The restored building was formally owned by Liberty Club Ltd., headed by developer Leon Taylor, and closed on in October of last year because of financial difficulties. The government of Grenada played a key role in negotiating the resort purchase with Sandals.
