Los Angeles-based sbe Entertainment Group has announced development plans for SLS Hotel Seattle. Marking the Seattle debut of designer Philippe Starck, the property will be located downtown.
The $400 million-development is expected to begin construction in the fourth quarter of 2013, with an anticipated completion date in 2016. Occupying floors two through 15, the 184-room SLS Hotel Seattle offers 30,000 square feet of food and beverage outlets and over 20,000 square feet of conference and event space. Also available are spa and fitness areas and Class A office spaces.
Collaborating on the development are Portland, Oregon-based ZGF Architects-specializing in sustainable design-and SLS Hotels culinary director, chef José Andrés. The food and beverage concepts will include a mix of sbe’s nightlife and culinary brands currently operating in Texas, Miami, Nevada, and Southern California. For this project, sbe will be aligned with Stockbridge Capital Group, LLC and Daniels Real Estate.
