Hospitality company sbe and Stockbridge Capital Group have secured $300 million to redevelop the shuttered Sahara into the SLS Las Vegas Hotel & Casino. Philippe Starck will design the property, the icon’s first in Las Vegas. Sam Nazarian, sbe’s CEO, promises “accessible luxury” in the property’s 1,600-plus guestrooms, as well as the Bazaar by chef Jose Andres, Katsuya by Starck, and the Shelter nightlife concept.
Gensler Architects and PENTA Building Group will assist in the redevelopment of the hotel-casino.
