Tropicana Entertainment Inc. has announced that Scott Butera will resign and president and CEO. He is leaving to become CEO of another gaming company but has not revealed which one. The company has not yet named a successor.
“I appreciate all of Scott’s efforts in managing the company’s successful restructuring and emergence from bankruptcy,” says chairman Carl Icahn. “Tropicana Entertainment is a strong company with attractive assets and a deep management team, and I look forward to working with the board of directors to identify a new candidate to replace Scott.”
