The Kerry Centre Hotel has been rebranded as Kerry Hotel, Beijing following a transformation to interiors. Upon entry into the hotel, guests are greeted by an onyx and white marbled space adorned with suspended crystal chandeliers, abstract art carpets, and unconventional ink work. A Chinese brushstroke video art piece by Japanese artist Shinichi Maruyama plays on a high-speed digital loop screen at the end wall of the elevator lobby. Behind the reception, a dream-like landscape is hand-painted on embroidered silk panels, while a glass piece from German artist Josepha Gasch-Muche is formed by a spiral of numerous layers of paper-thin optical glass carefully stacked on top of each other. Crafted by Ricardo Lighting, a 26-foot-high chandelier drapes from the ceiling of the second level to the lobby level, shimmering parallel to the illuminated staircase above water feature.

New club rooms and suites and outfitted with a flatscreen TV, Bose SoundDock, Nespresso coffee maker, and bathrooms with rain showerheads, built-in shaving mirrors, and mirrors with inbuilt TV and digital clock. Designed by Japanese form Super Potato, Kerry’s Kitchen showcases several live-cooking stations. Natural elements of Izumi stones, wood, clay, sand-finished textured walls, and Japanese paper are carefully arranged into a space of tranquility. In the adjacent Kerry’s Pantry, a floor-to-ceiling glass-encased wine display sits against dark-colored wood and processed scrap metal. Meanwhile, design firm Pure Creative out of Hong Kong refreshed the Centro bar and lounge, featuring suspended glass globes and a table designed for champagne bottles.
