Sheraton is celebrating the brand’s $6 billion global revitalization by giving away thousands of free rooms at sheraton.com/freenight. Highlights of the three-year overhaul include 70,000 new or renovated guestrooms, with 50,000 of those in North America; more than 300 lobbies featuring the brand’s new Link@SheratonM experienced with Microsoft; 100,000 new beds; and nearly 100 renovated properties in North America.
Sheraton is Starwood’s biggest brand, representing more than 400 hotels in 70 countries. The chain’s guest satisfaction scores are the highest in its history, with overall satisfaction at 8.12 out of 10; likelihood to return to the brand has increased from 7.89 to 8.78. In addition to the free rooms, Sheraton hosted a three-day open house this week for travel buyers and social event planners at hotels such as Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel (pictured) and Sheraton Birmingham.
And Sheraton isn’t done yet: Over the next three months, the brand will mark the completion of a $500 million investment in renovations to existing properties, including Sheraton Denver, Sheraton Dallas, and Sheraton Montreal, as well as the November opening of Sheraton Puerto Rico Convention Center Hotel & Casino, a $210 million, 503-room property that will be the first new full-service hotel and casino built in San Juan in more than 10 years.
