Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is embarking on an expansion that will see 50 new hotels representing more than 20,000 guestrooms over the next three years. Parent company Starwood and its partners are investing more than $4 billion in new hotel openings across four continents, which follows Sheraton’s three-year multibillion brand overhaul.
Specific expansion plans include nearly doubling the brand’s presence in China with 28 new hotels, adding 10 new resorts, and growing its footprint in New York City. Properties are also slated for Colombia, India, Russia, Slovakia, Taiwan, and Vietnam.
