Drawing upon key search terms for travelers and honoring its distinct location, the Sheraton New York has officially changed its name to Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel. “As we celebrate our 50th anniversary this year, we look toward the future of our property as we continue to change and grow,” says general manager Mark Sanders. “Adding Times Square to our name gives a nod to our central location in the heart of the Times Square Business District.”
The hotel recently unveiled a $160 million renovation resulting in redesigned sophisticated guestrooms, new public spaces, 44th-floor Club Lounge, and a revamped fitness center. The final phase of the makeover, wrapping up in early March 2013, will include a structural and aesthetic refurbishment of the ballroom and meeting spaces.
