Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers has completed phase one of its $150 million renovation, led by Wilson Associates. The brand’s flagship property renovated and expanded the size of 1,080 guest rooms and grand suites, added a state-of-the-art Cisco TelePresence Suite, and redesigned its Sheraton Club Lounge.
Designed using rich colors, graphic patterns, and clean lines, renovated accommodations now include:
- Sleek, low credenzas and wall-mounted flat panel televisions, allowing guests to easily store luggage on top of and below the furniture
- All-white Sheraton Sweet Sleeper bed
- New convenience power outlets at the base of all decorative lighting
- Mini-bar units built into the wall offering coffee service
- Completely renovated bathrooms, some with walk-in showers
- Chaise lounge chairs, which convert into a bed
- Energy efficient, state of the art four-pipe HVAC system, which allows guests to control the thermostat their room
- Technologically enabled guestrooms featuring a wired and wireless Internet platform and RFID locks
In addition, the Club Lounge now features expanded seating capacity; 24-hour guest access with coffee and espresso station; five TVs, including two personal units at tables adjacent to the bar; and an integrated business center with three computers and a printer.
The renovation’s second phase, which is expected to be finished in April 2012, includes updates to remaining guestrooms.
