Ravenna, Italy-based SICIS is set to open its first U.S.-based factory. Pairing with the unveil of the company’s Made in America line, the facility will be based in Atlantic City, New Jersey and is scheduled to begin operations in April 2013.
The U.S. factory will increase the speed to market for SICIS North America products and designs-while being in tune with market style and direction. All cutting, assembly, and creative initiatives or customization for the Made in America line will take place in the U.S. Initial production will focus on the SiciStone collection-featuring water-jet cut marble and glass compositions.
“This is a development we are particularly enthusiastic about,” says Amy Tanenbaum, executive vice president of SICIS North America. “Not only does it bring manufacturing back to the United States, but with SICIS as the brand, it is the joining of two great cultures-combining Italian style and elegance with American practicality, efficiency and quality.”
