The Fullerton Bay Hotel in Singapore is adding final touches before its luxurious debut on July 8. LCL Architects is responsible for the building’s glass façade as well as the 100 guestrooms, while Andre Fu oversaw design of the arrival experience and the property’s three signature restaurants. Guests will enter the hotel through a 56-foot-wide lobby at the historic Clifford Pier. For the space, Fu crafted a design richly steeped in Singapore’s vibrant history, using vintage nautical maps and commissioning contemporary art that reflects the celebration of heritage and modernity of Singapore.
LCL has brought elegance to the accommodations with elements such as polished rosewood, latticed screens, leather, and chrome. Each of the hotel’s six suites, including the presidential suite, are individually themed to reflect the wealth of cultures in Singapore’s cosmopolitan population, including Chinese, Malay, Indian, Peranakan, and Colonial. The three Fu-designed F&B outlets reflect individuality. Lantern, the rooftop bar, surrounds a swimming pool. Clifford (pictured right), a modern brasserie, showcases 33-foot-tall floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Marina Bay, along with an 800-bottle fine wine library and vintage furnishings in warm gray, burnt orange, and dark aubergine set against ivory French paneling and herringbone oak floors. Finally, the Landing Point lounge showcases a 43-foot-long bar set against gold hues.
