Six new Westin hotels will open in the remaining six weeks of the year, Starwood has announced. The projects include:
- The 428-key Westin Hyderabad Mindspace in India, offering two restaurants, a lounge bar, deli shop, fitness center, outdoor pool, and the country’s first Heavenly Spa by Westin
- The Westin Washington Dulles Airport, which has 314 guestrooms, fitness facilities, and an indoor pool
- The Westin Pune Koregaon Park in India will have 277 guestrooms and suites, including special workout accommodations for travelers who prefer to exercise in the privacy of their room. Amenities include three restaurants, a fitness center, spa, and outdoor pool
- The Westin Lake Mary, Orlando North features 253 guestrooms, 10 meeting spaces, and Shula’s 347 Grill
- The 269-room Westin Mumbai Garden City will feature Westin’s signature Heavenly Spa, fitness center, 2,900 square feet of meeting space, lounge and poolside bars, and two restaurants (including a rooftop establishment)
- Part of a mixed-use complex, Westin Tianjin in China will offer 275 guestrooms and suites, a kids’ club, spa and fitness facilities, indoor pool, business center, and meeting space.
In 2010, the Westin brand will see 12 new hotels opening in Canada, China, Greece, Japan, India, Mexico, and the United States.
