Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas has announced five new properties across five countries for completion by 2016. As the brand’s debut in the Western Hemisphere, the additions include properties in St. Lucia, the Dominican Republic, and Colombia by 2016, as well as in Bhutan and Mount QingCheng, China, at the end of this year.

The 15-year-old brand also plans to introduce its new website with its new visual identity in early March. Placing emphasis on the modernity and sophistication of Six Senses, its graphic-a six-sphere pyramid representing the five human senses-will be redone in purple to represent wisdom, spirituality, passion, and dignity, and also in green for the Six Senses Spas.
“Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas is positioned for exciting growth into new markets, reaching new audiences, and creating new experiences for our guests,” says Neil Jacobs, CEO of Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas. “There is a strong and organic emphasis at Six Senses to our commitment to sustainability. It is part of the brand DNA and influences aspects of the business ranging from materials used in daily operations to how we engage with the local community.”
Wolf Hengst, executive chairman, and Jacobs will lead Six Senses’ vision and global expanse, along with the president of Six Senses, Bernhard Bohnenberger. Anna Bjurstam will also fill the role as vice president of spa and wellness.
