The Sleep Event is returning to London with the European Hotel Design Conference, seminars, a major exhibition, and Sleep Hotel concept spaces. Previously hosting more than 3,000 attendees from around the world, Sleep 2013 will again bring together the industry on November 20-21 in London’s Business Center.
Heading this year’s conference is Ian Schrager, who will be joined by leaders such as Alex Calderwood, co-founder and owner of Ace Hotels; Inge Moore, principal at HBA London; Chris Boulton of Yoo; and Arlett Oehichen of HV.

Seminar topics will range from designing for Gen Y, the latest trends in bathroom design, and contemporary lighting displays. HD‘s Stacy Shoemaker Rauen will also moderate a discussion covering the business of hotels specifically what developers and owners seek when structuring a deal, and what they and brand executives want from a design collaborator.
At the Round Tables, delegates will have the chance to talk with selected industry influencers and decision makers in face-to-face discussions. This year will host industry leaders such as Robin Sheppard of Bepoke Hotels, Felicity Black-Roberts of Starwood Hotels & Resorts, and Nigel Buchanan of Yotel.
Throughout the conference, Sleep Hotel designers will refine their designs for the build-room sets, which conceptualize a suite originally constructed during the Pop Art era in the 1960s. The winning concept will be revealed at a reception on the first evening of the event. Meanwhile, 130 participating companies from Hong Kong, America, and Europe will showcase new products and services in the Sleep exhibition.

All of the events-the exhibition, the CPD-accredited conference, and Sleep Hotel-are free to attend for all visitors pre-registering online, with some exclusive sessions requiring pre-booking. For full conference details, click here.
