La Quinta Resort & Club in Hollywood is undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation to revive the property, which first opened in 1926.
The resort-wide renovation will upgrade all guest casitas by this fall, followed by a redesign of the villas, main lobby and public spaces, and pools. Drawing inspiration from the resort’s surroundings, Los Angeles-based firm Smith & Firestone has created a residential-style design for guestrooms and luxury suites. With an earthen palette of ivory, terracotta, and chocolate, guestrooms feature custom tile work and wrought iron elements, new furniture and carpet, and two-toned blocked drapery panels. Citrus-hued pillows and throws adorn wingback style headboards and contemporary Victorian chairs, while upgraded lighting and blue-sky accessories enhance each bathroom.
Starlight Casita patios will also debut fire features and patio furniture. The custom-designed resort suites will feature new landscaping, updated patio furniture, and renovated decks hugging the coveted private pools and spas.
The resort’s legendary 41 pools-including the main pool, an adult pool, and the pools and hot spas clustered around the casitas-will receive new decking, contemporary shade structures, and water temperature regulators.
