La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, California, has unveiled its $50 million top-to-bottom renovation, led by ForrestPerkins. The 474 spacious guestrooms and suites boast a lighter contemporary theme mirroring the lush outdoor scenery of the campus. Each room type features its own color palette. The Fairway, Courtside, and Plaza accommodations play off of the property’s blue and cream hues with hints of terra cotta and gold, all chosen to reflect the architecture, water, and flora found on the property. Meanwhile, signature La Costa rooms feature a palette soft greens and creams with hints of daylily gold.

A bright color palette reflecting a coastal California vibe defines the indoor Spa at La Costa, with another 15,000 square feet dedicated to a courtyard featuring an outdoor pool and “reflexology” stone path adjacent to the resort’s herb garden. Featuring interactive maps and reader boards, the 100,000-square-foot Coastal Events Center capitalizes on panoramic views, complemented by a palette of blue, green, and orange.Additional upgrades include a new adults-only pool, along with enhancements to the Athletic Club and golf course.
