Private members club Soho House will add five new houses to its portfolio by the end of 2014. Serving as a home away from home, each property will retain the Soho House DNA while drawing inspiration from its locale. The new locations include:
Soho House Toronto, occupying an 1880s building that’s been recently restored brick for brick. Opening fall 2012.
Soho House Mumbai, whose interiors reference the diverse local culture and surroundings. Amenities include a rooftop pool and an infinity bar looking out to sea. Opening spring 2013.
Soho House Chicago, housed in a 1907 warehouse boasting original features such as an ornamented entrance lobby and large open spaces with an exposed concrete structural system. The house will host 35 bedrooms, a pool, courtyard, and a glass-enclosed rooftop bar. Opening spring 2014.
Soho House Istanbul, spanning three buildings featuring ceilings covered in mythological features. The club will have 88 bedrooms and rooftop pools. Opening in spring 2014.
Soho House Barcelona, set over six stories of a 19th-century apartment block. Arranged around a central glass atrium which runs throughout, the house will feature 60 bedrooms and a rooftop pool offering views over both the city and the sea. The club space will be home to a dining area, bar, game room, and gym, while the ground floor will host a public restaurant and Cowshed spa. Opening in winter 2014.
