Italian restaurant Spasso, a collaboration between Experience Hospitality founder Bobby Werhane and chef Craig Wallen, has opened in New York City’s West Village. Designer Brooke Maples has created a warm and inviting space with modern touches. The expansive bar area utilizes high-top seating, while tables covered in white tablecloths and butcher block paper are set in nooks around the space to create an intimate atmosphere. Natural colors and materials such as reclaimed barn wood and hand-pounded metal form a laid-back environment that also includes an open kitchen. In addition, a sidewalk café space is in the works for summertime dining.
