Rising 12,000 feet above sea level, the St. Regis Lhasa Resort has opened its doors in Tibet. The luxury property features 150 oversized guestrooms and villas, along with 12 suites, including a presidential suite. Accommodations are outfitted with local artifacts and distinctive décor reflecting Tibet’s rich culture and heritage, with details such as custom-designed furniture and spacious marble baths. F&B outlets include Social, an all-day-dining restaurant; Si Zi Kang, the first gastronomic Tibetan restaurant; Yan Ting Chinese Restaurant, which features six private dining rooms; the Tea Room; and wine bar Decanter by Haut-Brisson. Meanwhile, the Iridium Spa offers guests access to a gold-leaf immersion pool and meditation garden. Ballroom and meeting space round out the resort’s offerings.
In addition, St. Regis Lhasa will focus on sustainability through solar energy, an underground water recycling system, and hybrid and turbo-diesel vehicles.
