Starwood Hotels and Resorts will return to Iraq after 20 years as part of its expansion plans in the Middle East. Opening in 2015, the Sheraton Erbil Hotel will feature 260 guestrooms and suites, dining venues, a club lounge, fitness center, a spa with indoor and outdoor pools, meeting facilities, and a business center with six private offices.
Starwood also has announced three new hotels for Dubai, scheduled to open in 2017. The St. Regis Dubai will feature 241 guestrooms and suites, eight F&B venues, a signature spa, pool, fitness center, and 2,600-square-foot ballroom. The 384-key W Dubai â€â€œ Sheikh Zayed Road also will provde eight dining venues, along with the signature W Lounge, WET pool deck, a fitness center, spa, and function spaces. At 1,179 guestrooms, the Westin Dubai â€â€œ Sheikh Zayed Road is the largest hotel of the three and features amenities such as the Westin Heavenly Spa, a fitness facility, six F&B options, and more than 8,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
