Starwood Hotels and Resorts is launching its Luxury Collection brand in China with two hotels. Opening in May following a $22 million renovation, the Astor Hotel Tianjin features 152 guestrooms and suites, nearly 11,000 square feet of meeting space, five world-class restaurants and bars, indoor swimming pool, and high-tech fitness and business centers.
Meanwhile, the Malus Sanya, part of the integrated Haitang Bay Beach Resort district, opens in the fall of 2012. Guests have access to 160 luxury rooms and villas, 3,200 square feet of meeting space, two signature restaurant and bars, a 24-hour business center, health club and fitness center, signature spa, outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, and specialty shopping.
