The Keraton at the Plaza, a Luxury Collection Hotel, will open in late April 2012 in Jakarta, Indonesia. Starwood’s newest entry reflects the country’s indigenous culture and geography, thanks to interior design by SCDA Singapore and Burega Farnell. Spacious guestrooms and suites feature floor-to-ceiling windows, rich woods, intricate Batik floral patterns, and locally commissioned artwork. Indigenous touches also influence the hotel’s F&B options: Bengawan, an indoor/outdoor restaurant with an open floorplan, lush foliage, and water features, as well as the Keraton Lounge.
