Starwood Hotels & Resorts will double its presence in China, with 103 hotels currently open and another 100 signed deals in the pipeline. In 2012 alone, the company will unveil 25 properties. Highlights include:
Sheraton Macao Hotel, Cotai Central (pictured below), which will be Starwood’s largest hotel at 3,863 guestrooms. The property’s first phase debuts in September with a full opening by March 2013. Amenities include three restaurants, poolside cafes, and a ballroom the size of 11 basketball courts.
W Hotels will debut its first property in mainland China with W Guangzhou by the beginning of 2013. The brand also will open another four hotels by 2017 in Macau, Beijing, Shanghai, and Changsha.
St. Regis will unveil six hotels in Changsha, Macau, Chengdu, Lijiang, Zhuhai, and Nanjing.
