WATG has completed a major renovation of 153 guestrooms at the Statler Hotel, located in the heart of the Cornell University campus in Ithaca, New York. "The new rooms are designed to give guests a truly outstanding hotel experience," says Rick Adie, general manager of the Statler. "We called upon the expertise of the faculty, staff, alumni, and students of the School of Hotel Administration, as well as top hospitality brands, to create a unique blend of service and amenities that guests will want to enjoy time and again."
WATG brought a contemporary style to the guestrooms, which feature ergonomic workspaces and desk chairs, along with a sleep sofa or lounge chair with ottomans that can double as extra seats for small group meetings. Other elements include LCD TVs, enhanced lighting, Four Seasons pillow-top mattresses, custom-designed Cornell throws, and photographs of the university’s scenery.
