Arcona Hotels & Resorts has unveiled the Steigenberger Parkhotel in Braunschweig, Germany⎯⎯adding to its portfolio of 14 hotels in the country.
Located close to a local park, the hotel offers 163 rooms, 13 junior suites, and three suites⎯⎯including the Henry the Lion, which includes a bedroom, a living area, a separate boardroom, a roof terrace, and a private sauna.
The centerpiece of the Steigenberger Parkhotel is its 9,795-square-foot conference area. Set in a listed historical machine shop, it can accommodate up to 450 participants and is attached to a separate foyer. The main conference wing contains seven of the eleven conference rooms⎯⎯all of which offer outside terrace areas.
At Brasserie an der Oker restaurant, an open show kitchen entertains guests while dining on a sun terrace overlooking the River Oker. The Vinothek restaurant and Lounge 1777 complete the F&B offerings.
“The Steigenberger Parkhotel is the largest project we have realized thus far in the short history of our company,” says Alexander Winter, managing director of Arcona Hotels & Resorts. “We wish the director Joost Smeulders and his team a successful launch in a city that was once home to Henry the Lion.”
