Hong Kong designer Steve Leung is keeping busy with the launch of new hospitality and travel products. Leung has created a new company-1957 & Co., named after his birth year-with business partners Tino Kwan and Paul Kwok. The firm will focus on hospitality and property investment projects, including the launch of two new contemporary restaurants, Bella Vita (pictured) and Sushi Ta-ke, located at the Cubus in Hong Kong. “The Hong Kong dining scene is highly competitive but we’re confident that with our collective experience in design, eye for detail, and passion for service, we can offer a dining experience that is unexpected and unparalleled,” Leung says.
Leung is also venturing into the travel agency world as one of the main shareholders of Hip Holiday, which targets discerning travelers seeking personalized service to unusual destinations. The company’s trip consultants will offer friendly and highly tailored services to customers, while R&D personnel will also be on hand to help customers design unforgettable vacations.
In addition, the property arm of Steve Leung Designers unveils Couture Homes, a new luxury residential concept where every unit will be in ready-to-move-in condition. Everything from furniture to appliances to bathroom amenities and cutlery will be in place, ready for its new tenant. The company will purchase and redevelop, then renovate, every acquisition before releasing the property for sale, ensuring that each unit is of the highest specification and ensuring no detail is overlooked. The first project, called the Hampton, will feature eight sumptuously designed apartments. The project is scheduled to go on sale in the first quarter of 2011.
