Washington, DC-based firm Studio3877 has added two new staff members⎯⎯Ryan Petyak and Mallory McDonagh.
Stepping in as project lead and project architect, Ryan Petyak studied architecture at Catholic University of America. Having completed several large-scale projects while at Washington, DC-based RTKL, Petyak brings expertise in architecture and design, construction and technical detailing, and project coordination. Petyak will work on a variety of projects, assuming lead duties on smaller spaces, and acting as a team member for larger ones.
“Ryan brings experience with large architectural projects and understands architecture from the general concepts to the smallest details,” explains David Shove-Brown, principal at Studio3877.
Mallory McDonagh has also joined Studio3877 as a designer. As a Miami University graduate and OstermanCron/Kimball Scholarship for Passionate Design recipient, McDonagh brings with her a knowledge of Islamic architecture, sustainable design practices, and residential interiors. McDonagh, who most recently was a design assistant at bossy color | Annie Elliott interior design, will grow the firm’s interior design studio⎯⎯working on hospitality, residential, commercial, and other projects.
“Mallory was hired to help build our interior design capability; she is a talented designer, who brings an energy and enthusiasm to her design focusing on materiality, form, scale, and the human experience,” says principal David Tracz.
