W Retreat – Koh Samui is on track to open in June in Thailand. Envisioned by Thai firms P49 Design and MAPS Design Studio, the property is a tribute to Samui’s sublime Maenam Beach. The Living Room will feature an indoor/outdoor lounge overlooking the sea below, while round banquette seating areas will be submerged in an infinity-edge pool. Perched high atop a hillside, the resort’s 75 private villas have a private plunge pool, daybed, outdoor shower, and direct beach access. Guests will also have access to the aWay spa; signature restaurant the Kitchen Table; Namu, a Japanese dining outlet; Sip Lounge; fitness facility; water sports center; and tennis courts.
