The Surin Phuket has emerged from an extensive renovation spearheaded by Paris architect and interior designer Ed Tuttle, the resort’s original architect. Formerly the Chedi Phuket, the seaside retreat offers a fresh interpretation of the Thai beach house. Sustainable cedar-like shingles adorn the roof, while frameless windows invite plenty of natural light. Golden teak and natural gray makkar wood tones further contribute to an airy, spacious feel.

Clean lines and thakianthong wood define the lobby, whose low tables and lounge seats extend onto an outdoor terrace. Meanwhile, 108 brightly lit guest cottages integrate pearl granite flooring, polished makkar wood tops, and private verandas. The sunny atmosphere continues in the new beach bar gym, lounge, and restaurant.
