The Swatch Group will operate the Swatch Art Peace Hotel in Shanghai, a concept that blends a retail environment with a hotel where artists live and work. The hotel, located in a building from 1908, pays homage to the structure’s heritage and status as one of the city’s best-known landmarks. Artists from a range of creative disciplines will be selected by an international committee to live and work in workshop apartments for up to six months. The artists will have a chance to exhibit their works in on-site venues.
The hotel features three themed suites, four themed guestrooms, Shook! restaurant, and a rooftop terrace.
