The 9 urban resort is set to open in downtown Cleveland this September.

The former Ameritrust tower and historic Cleveland Trust rotunda have been transformed into The 9, which houses the new Metropolitan hotel and apartments for residents. Locally owned grocery store, Heinen’s Market, will be located inside the rotunda.
The Metropolitan hotel is set inside The 9 and is a Marriott Autograph Collection property. The hotel will have 156 rooms and suites, as well as an indoor dog park, a spa, and a gym. Residents of The 9 will have the opportunity to choose from 104 Concierge Living apartments.
F&B outlets at The 9 will include modern Mediterranean restaurant, Adega, featuring a 12-foot wine vault, chef’s table, the largest outdoor dining patio in the city, and three private dining rooms for groups of up to 80. The development will also boast more than 14,000 feet of total event space, from the 68-seat Alex Theater to the 5,200-square-foot Mint ballroom.
There are four historic bank vaults located in the basement of the rotunda, where circular steel-and-glass doors house the safety deposit rooms that formerly belonged to famous Clevelanders. This historic underground space has been transformed into a prohibition-era cocktail bar, Vault. Separated from Vault, Speakeasy will offer an invitation-only experience, and Azure is another of the property’s bar option.
